Getting top dollar for your listing involves following a set of specific steps that we’re experts at.
Thinking of buying? Search all homes
Thinking of selling? Get a home valuation
How do we get our clients’ homes sold for top dollar? There are a few important steps that we’re happy to share with you today to show how we can do the same for you.
First, we use professional photographers for all our properties. Good photography is very important—you don’t want any shadows or bad lighting to be the reason your home doesn’t sell.
Before we can even take pictures, though, we like to ensure that your property is in the perfect showing condition by removing all clutter and personal belongings from it. Any potential buyer should be able to picture themselves in their new home. We encourage that all family pictures be removed so they’re not a distraction and buyers are free to look solely at your home.
We also recommend removing one-third of all the items in your closets, because it’s important for the home to be clean, neat, and tidy. Trust me—it all matters in the end.

Don’t neglect to make repairs to your home, either. If you see any fingerprints on the walls, they need to be painted over. The windows also need to be cleaned, along with any carpeting. Buyers will want the best property for their money, and we want to make sure they fall in love with your home.
Before we officially list your home, we’ll sit down with you and help you create a checklist of all the tasks that must be completed. We also have qualified contractors and stagers we can refer you to who can help. In addition, we’ll price your home accurately for the current market conditions. Our average days on market for our listings in 2017 varied based on purchase price and location, but most of them went under contract in less than one week. We work hard to make sure your home is ready and priced to sell.
If you have any real estate questions at all or you’re thinking about selling your home, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to help you.
